Notebook A5 . Brazil . 1862

Notebook, size 14.8 X 21 cm – 30 ivory paper pages. Bound in accordance with a traditional process. The sheets are sewn together by hand with a Singer machine with green thread. Different front and back.

Created around 1862 by the Desfossé workshop, the design on this notebook is taken from a panoramic wallpaper representing a mythical Brazil with colorful birds (peacocks, parrots, red ibis ...). Originally, the patterns were printed by means of wooden-boards.
